Well, April's been quite a month for me. But before April 2008 becomes history, I wanted to post my 39th wallpaper, which I call "Work Ethic". This image was taken last fall in the summer, when the bees were out working hard, focusing on their own tasks. I was able to capture a few nice shots that day, which I may use in some other wallpapers in the future.

Read the rest of this entry.

Tonight I give you my 38th wallpaper entitled "Fortitude". This actual image comes from a photo taken almost 20 years ago (as this little shed no longer stands today). Before it collapsed though, it must have stood for close to over 100 years. The outside didn't look like much, but what was holding it up was on the inside. I would say that within the final 5-10 years of it's standing, three or four trees started to grow inside of this small shed that helped keep the walls and roof from collapsing.

Here's the main point I'd like to make: it wasn't what was on the outside that held this little shed up, but what was determined to grow on the inside.

Read the rest of this entry.

Today I've created a wallpaper on the topic that mostly everyone around the world has heard of at least once in their lifetime - if not hundreds or even thousands of times. And as such, I wanted to give something away that everyone could relate to. So, tonight I give you my 37th wallpaper entitled "Golden Rule".

Read the rest of this entry.

Tonight I've finally finished up on another wallpaper that's been in the works now for about a week. This one I started on Monday night and it uses both 3d generated content and photography to achieve the mood and environment I was looking for.

I'm sure most of you have heard the old phrase, "Life is what you make of it." I think that holds true in every area of life. It's your outlook on an event or circumstance you face in life that can color your reality. So, with another opportunity to help encourage you tonight, I give you "Outlook", my 36th wallpaper.

Read the rest of this entry.

Well, today being a day which comes only once every 4 years - Leap Year Day - I decided to integrate today's theme into a wallpaper. This is actually only 1 of 6 different versions I made of this wallpaper. I've been going back and forth for the past couple of days on which version to release as my 35th wallpaper. It's called "Leap Forward".

On another big decision I've made, I'm sure some of you may also have noticed that there are 8 resolution choices of this wallpaper to choose from to download. Yes, I've finally decided to "leap forward" myself and offer two widescreen versions and two 5:4 aspect ratio versions of all my wallpapers going forward.

Read the rest of this entry.

Thirty-fourth Wallpaper - "Hope"

Today seems to be a great day to offer another wallpaper based on a topic I've been holding on to. Some call this topic an emotion. Some call it a feeling. I'd like to think of it as a character quality that everyone must possess in themselves. This quality may seem to come and go, depending on one's outlook on life. This quality is "Hope", and this is what I decided should be my 34th wallpaper.

To me, this image delivers the idea that when times are tough, if we keep focusing on the negative, we will look down, and all we will see is our present circumstances that make things seem hopeless. But if we can change our perspective and be positive and look upwards, we can find the hope that lies beyond our present circumstances.

Read the rest of this entry.

Well, it's that time of the year again: a time when we can celebrate love and romance with that special person in our lives. So, for those who may tend to forget about Valentine's Day or tend to put it off till the last moment, let this serve as an early reminder for you.

I'd also like to mention that this image is obviously not a photo. This is a 3d render I did in 2003. I've modified it since then to what you see here now. So, keeping count now, this is my 33rd wallpaper entitled, "Love".

Read the rest of this entry.

Tonight seems to be the perfect night to present this picture - at least for me. You see I live in Northeast Wisconsin and we've been bombarded by a lot of snow so far this winter. In fact, this picture was taken from my backyard. (Just kidding - it's not that bad - yet.) I will say though that we've received more than the normal amount of snow for our area. Even tonight, as I look outside, we are getting hit with another snowstorm prompting winter storm warnings all over the state.

I've also been wanting to present this theme for a while now, as an encouragement for you to challenge yourself this coming year to do more and become more by taking steps that may have seemed hard to take in the past. So tonight, I'm pleased to present to you my 32nd wallpaper called "Challenge".

Read the rest of this entry.
